Dead Until Dark (Book One)
Narrated by Sookie Stackhouse, the series' protaganist, Dead Until Dark depicts the life of a small town telepathic girl living in the fictional town of Bon Temps shortly after vampires have made their presence known to the public. The novel follows Sookie through her romance with Vampire Bill, and the chaotic events that result from their relationship. The main conflict in the novel is the death of many of Sookie's friends and acquaintances and the blame that is stuck on Bill due to the victims' vampire bites. Using her special power, Sookie sets off to find the real killer, with a unique Sookie flare, and gets herself into all kinds of trouble along the way.
Living Dead In Dallas (Book Two)
Once again Sookie's life is caught in the throes of a murder mystery as she discovers another of her friends dead. Using her telepathy and the help of other supernaturals or Supes, Sookie attempts to chase down the truth. Meanwhile, she gets entangled in another Vampire mess with the Fellowship of the Sun and Bill's sheriff, Eric Northman, all while throttling through the ups and downs of her relationship with Bill.
Club Dead (Book Three)
Prowling deeper into the politics of the vampire world, Sookie embarks on a trip with Eric in order to find Bill, who is missing after being summoned by his maker, Lorena. Along with a particularly attractive werewolf, Sookie seeks to find Bill in the midst of a tangle of Vampire Kings and Queens, jealous werewolf lovers, and the always jovial Fellowship of the Sun worshippers.

After too many life threatening events at the hands of her vampire friends, Sookie is reluctant to dive back into their world. However, fate it seems is against her as she is forced to take Eric Northman into her home when she finds him outside with his memory wiped. While battling the coven of witches responsible for Eric's loss of memory, and being forced to search for her missing brother Jason, the close quarters with the beautiful viking vampire Eric prove to be too much of a challenge for Sookie.
